Korea road bike courses are the focus of my upcoming post, where I’ll introduce two methods for discovering these routes and analyze that.
Previously, I shared a post about why cycling in Korea is such a great experience.
Now, let’s dive into how to find road cycling routes when riding in Korea!
Finding Korea Road Bike Courses #1 Bike Paths Along Major Rivers
The most convenient way to find road bike routes in Korea is by utilizing the bike paths located along the major rivers and in urban areas.
Korea is home to four major rivers, interconnected with smaller rivers that form a web-like network. Along these rivers, you’ll find well-maintained bike paths that are perfect for cyclists.
These routes are relatively well-managed, making them an excellent choice for first-time visitors or cycling enthusiasts exploring Korea.
Advantages: Allows for a comfortable ride from Seoul to Busan with minimal stress from vehicle traffic.
Disadvantages: Lacks the charm of Korea’s scenic countryside roads and natural landscapes.

Finding Korea Road Bike Courses #2 Korea Randonneurs Permanents Course
The second method is to utilize the various courses listed on the websites of long-distance cycling events, such as Randonneurs.
If you’re a fan of road cycling, you’ve likely heard of Randonneurs events. The website of the Korea Randonneurs Club features a wide selection of fantastic routes created by passionate cyclists from all over the country.
By exploring these courses, you can experience the diverse charm of Korea’s road cycling routes, offering much more variety compared to sticking to river bike paths.
Best of all, all routes are free to access, and you can download them even if you’re not a member.
Advantages: You can truly enjoy Korea’s stunning scenery.
Disadvantages: A GPS bike computer is required to navigate the routes, and there may occasionally be some stress from vehicle traffic.

Finding Korea Road Bike Courses #3 ‘라이딩 가즈아’ Courses
Using the “Riding GAZUA (라이등 가즈아) ” website, which specializes in designing cycling routes in Korea, is another excellent option. The platform features a wide range of routes created by everyday riders.
Advantages: A wide variety of courses are available, from short to long-distance routes.
Disadvantages: Some courses may be unverified, and it’s more convenient to use the site if you can understand Korean.

In Conclusion
Today, we discussed three ways to find road bike routes in Korea.
As mentioned earlier, Korea is an excellent country for cycling, and I highly recommend visiting and experiencing an enjoyable ride.
